Just a quick note to let you know what's happening Inside the PMA!
2011 was he biggest year to date for PMA growth, and frankly; the PMA staff is only now beginning to recover from the large volume of new applications and the considerable work that goes into getting candidates from the applicant stage through approval and issuance of credentials.
One of the top PMA goals for 2012 is to streamline the license process and to add personnel to make sure PMA staff is available to answer questions and assist PMA members and practitioners.
With this goal in mind, beginning this month we have:
1. Transferred all licensing management back to the PMA main U.S. office in Texas. We wish to thank Jill & Gerrick for their assistance in the past and know that while we are losing two valuable assets that have provided much needed services in the past; the PMA process will be much more efficient by managing from one main location.
2. James O. (Jim) Brewer is now available to assist you with legal issues and questions, member complaints and to oversee final approval and issuance of license and commission. If you have any questions regarding these topics, or if you are awaiting original license credentials; please contact Jim at the PMA main phone (866-206-8469) Mon-Fri 9am-5pm CST, or email him at jim@pmai.us
3. Candace Donnell is now available to manage all phases of commission and license application. If you have questions concerning application, need assistance or are in process and have questions about your application; contact Candace at the PMA main phone (866-206-8469) Mon-Fri 9am-5pm CST, or email her at candace@pmai.us
4. The PMA is also in the process of appointing a new clinical training director for the U.S. Watch for the announcement coming in the next few days, and stay tuned for the 2012 clinical training schedule to be posted soon. For the rest of 2012 and coming years, we will schedule 4-6 basic training events in various parts of the U.S. annually.
As of this writing we are also expanding our phone lines in the main office to assure that all callers receive a "live" person to assist them. Our deadline for "making this happen" is March 01. At this time the PMA staff handles a very large volume of calls and emails and we know that many callers are unable to get through. If you do call and get a message, or email and do not get a response with 24 hours, please email us again. Very often our (necessary) spam catchers route emails to spam, and/or an email rolls so far down the list before the staff is able to reply, that no response is received. Again, please email again of you do not receive a reply within 24 hours.
We appreciate your patience while we make these changes to streamline the PMA. We know that the protection afforded by PMA license is important to you, and we are working very hard to make sure your PMA experience is a great one!
Thanks from all of us at the PMA!
